Reappropriation of Nanjing railway line perseveres

In Jiangnin district in Nanjing, the ‘tunnel of love’, a railway line still active where trees have formed a green arch, has become the new spot of the city’s dreamers.

Out of concern for public security, the administration had planned to cut the trees. But faced with pressure from pedestrians and internet users, this decision has been reviewed and finally the administration decided to regulate the access to the tunnel of love to specific hours of the day.
