Urbantec Asia – Conference

UrbanTec Asia, held as part of the annual China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), aims to import the idea of smart cities and related technologies and services into China. This year edition combines conference and showcase together to a unique gathering of experts shaping up the future of intelligent and human-focused cities.

Increasing by more than 1% per year, China’s urbanization rate reached more than 54% in 2014. Growing cities cause serious problems that affect people’s life quality such as traffic jam, haze, overpopulation and pollution of natural resources. While for the widespread using of Internet, Big data, Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things, the urbanization progress is persistently developing. Thus, the idea of “Smart City” may be the predetermined direction of city development. UrbanTec Asia 2016 will focus on how to bring urban cities back to its original function –serving people and facilitating daily life.
