China House Vision 2018 – Exhibition
Coinciding with Beijing Design Week, the “China House Vision Explorer – Future Life Exhibition” (“探索家——未来生活” in Chinese), is held in Beijing from September 21 to November 6, 2018. With a theme of “New Gravity”, this year’s exhibition aims to explore the possibilities of futuristic residential design and highlights the role of technology in today’s life.
Together with ten architects who are in collaboration with ten enterprises respectively, the exhibition showcases ten home designs at a 1:1 ratio to provide audiences a real-life living experience, in a great diversity, from a sci-fi “Mars Case” to an eco-friendly “Living Garden”. The House Vision as a cultural research project of “future ways of living” was originally initiated in Japan by Kenya Hara, a renowned Japanese designer and curator, and first launched in China in 2015.
